The scale is going down and I'm getting healthier nearly four months into Doctor Oz's Transformation Nation Challenge. It's a national program to get millions of Americans to live healthier lives.
My trainer, Justyn Yarbrough, at Oz Fitness says the closer I get to my goal, the harder things are going to be.
"The next 30 pounds that we're looking at will be that time when you really have to focus on nutrition. Larry admitted today that he had three cookies," Yarbrough says.
Experts say nutrition is 80 percent of the weight loss game. To make the lesson more pallable, Justyn says it boils down to a simple equation: eat less, move more.
"For some people they don't realize how small some amounts are; a cup of this, a half a cup of that. But in reality, that portion size maybe one and half times what they need, " Justyn explains.
The good news is with nearly 30 pounds gone life in the gym has gotten easier. I'm noticing more muscle, stamina, and less fat.
