SOU Drops Preliminary Tuition Hike Numbers

Southern Oregon University students may soon be facing a possible tuition hike.

University officials introduced a preliminary figure of 5.8 percent increases in next Fall's tuition Monday.n That's on top of last years hike of more than 9 percent.

SOU is quick to point out that these figures are preliminary, and if state funding improves and enrollment is high, that figure could change.

Meanwhile, officials say the firm numbers on tuition are not likely to be released for a few more months.
