ALL NEW: City Council To Discuss Issue Of Roaming Cats

Should cats be allowed to roam off their owner's properties?

That's what the Phoenix city council will decide Monday night.

Currently, Phoenix residents can be fined up to $500 if their cat leaves their property.

Residents are disagreeing on whether neighbors should be allowed to trap wandering cats, especially in the summer heat.

The city council will hold a discussion on the subject, starting at 6:30 Monday night, at the public works office.
