The weapon of choice for suspected Portland mall shooter, Jacob Tyler Roberts, was an AR-15, a highly accurate, semi-automatic weapon, a similar version of which is even being used by the military in Afghanistan. But what practical purpose does it serve in suburbia? NBC5's Laura Cavanaugh went to the experts to find out.
