A last ditch effort to reach a deal, as negotiations continue for the Eagle Point School District.
Union reps will be meeting the with Eagle Point School Board for a final time Monday.
The two sides are not finding common ground on subcontracting agreements, job security for bus drivers, and teacher prep time, among other sticking points.
Just recently, the district has filed an unfair labor practice complaint regarding the Union's use of the district’s e-mail system.
Teachers are scheduled to complete the checkout process, and turn in lesson plans for the following weeks.
If an agreement is not reached today, the Union is set to strike Tuesday morning at 6.
Eagle Point students are staying home this morning, as negotiations continue.
Last week, the district announced all schools will be closed, and all school activities, except for high school athletic competitions, are canceled.
This is in effect May 7th and 8th. The district still says they will announce plans for re-opening the schools in the coming days.
