Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Tonight authorities in Klamath Falls are continuing the investigation into a fatal pedestrian involved traffic crash Friday night.

Police say 49 year old Bert Ichtertz was crossing south 6th street between Homedale road and Madison street shortly before eight when he was struck by a Dodge Caravan.

Authorities say he was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the caravan was not injured.
