Josephine County, Oregon

A family member says the 21 year-old man tried to swim across the Rogue River but went under about halfway across.

It was a hot day and a chance for 21 year old Sean Kruger of Grants Pass to hang out with family and friends. He was off of work from the Tap Rock Restaurant enjoying the river near Griffin Park. When he tried to swim across the river he turned around when the current got stronger. From family accounts, Kruger went under and hasn't been seen since. Search and rescue crews including a dive team and volunteers with river boats are still searching for any sign of him.

I am so sad to hear about this young boy, possibly losing his life. He has such a beautiful daughter, that will now grow up with out her dad, I knew him for a short time when his daughter was born. He worked at Taprock with several friend's of mine, I just can't believe it. My heart goes out to his family and friends. RIP Sean, you will be greatly missed.
