Super Bowl XLVI is this Sunday here on NBC 5. To many, it's all about football. For others, like advertisers and marketers, it's a chance to get their image out to the consumer.
Advertising on Super Bowl Sunday is a big deal. Forty percent of tablet and smart phone users are watching television while doing their business online. Thats why advertisers and mobile app are makers are turning this Super Bowl into a two-screened event.
Shazam is a mobile app that uses sound recognition to give the consumer an interactive experience. Come Sunday, the entire Super Bowl, Halftime show and nearly half of the advertisements during the game can be tagged using its app. As social media hit's 2012,millions are expected to sign-in to their mobile devices with applications like shazam, looking to enhance their now multi media experience while the companies try to get their name to consumers.
