Last Tuesday, 31 year old Chris Duval was on his way home when his vehicle rolled over near Modoc and Table Rock Road. Duval was immediatly rushed to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and placed in the intensive care unit.
"Medical bills like this are astronomical and he does not have insurance," said Jen Dethro, Duval's finace.
That's why friends and family members are now trying to raise money and reach everyone Duval knows to host a fundraiser.
Duval is well known throughout the lego robotics community. He's been volunteering at Kids Unlimited for the past six years. His teaching style was even recognized by the LEGO company.
"He's really incorporated teaching life lessons, natural consequences and he's got a dual teaching method that helps the kids in their personal life as well as keeping it really fun," explained Michael Hickerson, Duval's friend.
Duval also owns his own computer repair company.
If you couldn't afford the help, he'd help you anyway," said Dethro.
While duval remains at the hospital, Duval's children just want him to get better.
