Update (9:08pm - March 4th, 2013): 14 year old Starla Carrero has been found alive and well. Stay with NBC5 for updates.

The mother of a missing 14 year old is asking the community for help. Starla Carrero has been reported missing. She was last seen at the Bear Creek Skatepark Saturday afternoon around 5:30 speaking with a group of young men.

"She left her stuff here, including a bag with some money in it and a skateboard. She doesn't have a cell phone on her, i had taken that away, so there's really no way to reach her," said Andrea Carrero.

Carrero is described at 5'2'' about 130 pounds with black hair typically pulled back and last seen wearing a teal sweatshirt similar to the one on your screen and  blue jeans.

It hasn't been confirmed yet whether she was abducted. At this point, police are considering her a runaway but have not ruled out foul play. Starla's family says she has never been gone this long without telling someone.

Sunday night, police said they were searching for Starla along the Bear Creek Greenway and trying to track down people associated with her. An Amber Alert has not been issued because police don't have enough information (such as a suspect or vehicle description). We're told authorities do not believe she is in immediate danger.

Anyone with any information should call Medford police.

They need to look at the videos filmed this weekend of the Harlem Shake in Bear Creek Park. I dropped off my little brother and cousins at about 11:00 on Saturday afternoon. They were filming then and Im sure they got something on camera either of the boys she was talking to or herself.

Runaways don't leave their purse with money it laying around in the park. The authorities need to take this more seriously and not assume every missing teenage girl is a runaway.

Check out what happened to my boyfriend's niece, Marysa Nichols in Red Bluff, CA. The police are few and the criminals are many. I hope you find her and not in the condition Marysa was found.
