Officials Identify Skeleton Remains Found Near Roseburg

Officials in Douglas County have identified skeletal remains that were found west of Roseburg this summer.

Authorities say the remains have been identified as those of 55-year old Deborah Schneider of Myrtle Creek.

Schneider was reporting missing back in January of 2011.

Her remains were discovered 17 months later on private property off Coos Bay Wagon Road.

Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
