There are more food stamp users here in Oregon than any other state, according to last year's Census.

Almost 20 percent of families here in Oregon receive help from the government, about 1 in 5 families.

This follows a recent change in eligibility for food stamps.

Other states with high food stamp rates include Michigan and Tennessee.

But Oregon is under 9% unemployment according to the government. (13th worst in the nation). These numbers reveal a number of things.
Besides poor government (national, state and local) leadership, shame on those who get food stamps and do so out of greed.

Other people relying on food stamps are grocery story employees for jobs.. Also the big food corporations are relying on food stamps for their profit!
