Firefighters across southern Oregon have been busy trying to contain a number of wildfires that have burned at least 71,594 acres as of Thursday morning.
Over the past few weeks we've taken you inside the firelines to show you how crews are trying to put the fires out and have shown the devastation left behind.
Dave Wells, a public information officer with the Douglas Complex Fire took us along Cow Creek Road to see what damage has been done, you can clearly see a difference between then and now.
But the damage is still far from done.
"We actually have 2 Manhattans here at the douglas complex fire, it's a big fire," said Wells.
That's one way to think about how big the fire is.
In fact, if you combined all major fires in southern Oregon over the past two weeks, they would take up more than 3 quarters of Portland city limits or burn the entire city of Medford more than 5 times over.
And the fight to contain these fires is far from over.
The Douglas Complex fire is at 28% contained.
