Today KOBI teamed up with Airport Chevy for a school cash grab.

More than 110 students from 55 schools across Southern Oregon and Northern California had thirty seconds to grab as much cash as possible in hopes of raising thousands of dollars for thier school.

Event organizers say it's a fun way for students to get involved.

"We decided to get the kids a little more involved this year and decided we would do something where they could compete, so they feel like they are earning the money for the school and it's been a lot of fun!"

All participating schools received at least one hundred dollars.

The top three performing schools received 500, 1000, and 2000 dollar cash prizes.
