On Monday, the US Supreme Court will hear arguments from a lawsuit surrounding Oregon water.
The issue at large is whether clean water act permits should be required for active Oregon logging roads.
Some fear that with large logging trucks and equipment, the roads divert sediment-laden water into nearby streams, causing harm to fish and wildlife.
Oregon Department of Forestry officials say logging roads are covered by the Oregon Forest Practices Act and don't need another permit.
A Supreme Court decision is expected by spring.
