Nearly 300 people at the Jackson County Democrats' Blue Bash Fundraiser cheered in unison when they heard Barack Obama was projected to be the 44th President of the United States.

Attendees said they were thrilled to hear the news.

But the road to the White House was a bumpy one. Both President Obama and Governor Mitt Romney were neck and neck in a statistical dead-heat in the hours leading up to election day.

Some Democrats we spoke with say they were nervous in the beginning but are now excited to see what the President will accomplish next in his second term as President.

Republicans vs Democrats = All Americans Lose
Democrats vs Republicans = All Americans Lose
Americans are fed up with negative ads, rhetoric, gridlock in Congress, and the hate toward the opposite political party. Our government must end hostile philosophical party differences, evolve into a more collaborative and cooperative government, and function in the best interest of ALL Americans…and to this very fragile planet.
