They have 29 days to close a roughly $300-million shortfall. They plan on scaling back programs to help close that gap.
House Co-Speaker Bruce Hanna - (R) Roseburg said "We've got a real revenue issue to deal with we've got 14 straight quarters of decline in revenue and we're trying to fix a $307-$310 million problem."
Representative Hanna says in addition, they'll be focusing on putting Oregonians back to work.There are a number of bills that are expected to increase jobs around the state. Other discussion will surround education and healthcare.
