4 Oregon State Troopers from the Jackson County office have been transferred to the Josephine County office, leaving Jackson county with 12 state troopers.

Officials made the decision after deep budget cuts in Josephine county hit their office hard.

The Josephine county Board of Commissioners has voted through a property tax increase.

A maximum property tax rate of $1.85 per $1,000 of assessed property value will be on the May ballot.

So who's paying for these Sherifs? She people of Jackson county? If so this is just plain wrong!! Why should Jackson County residents pay for Josephine county's police force?
