A Hillsboro police officer is facing attempted murder charges, after a domestic disturbance call leads to a standoff with fellow officers.

Timothy Cannon is behind bars in Washington county.

Officials say his wife Lisa called authorities late Sunday night, after an argument became heated in their Forest Grove home.

A standoff ensued, and shots were fired, leading to 10 law enforcement officials being placed on standard administrative leave.
Cannon and a sheriff’s deputy were wounded in the incident, both were taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Cannon is expected to be in court later this week.
