Police Release Name Of Driver In Fatal Accident In Douglas County

Authorities have released the name of a driver involved in a fatal accident in Douglas County on Tuesday.

Police say 74-year- old Glen Mires of La Pine, Oregon was heading East on highway 138 Tuesday when he crashed into a tree near Susan Creek, east of Glide.

Mires was wearing a seat belt and the airbag in his Dodge Durango did deploy.

Preliminary reports say a medical emergency may have been the cause.
