Central Point, Ore. – The Central Point Police Department said on Wednesday that there were reports of 25 vehicle break-ins between Rock Way and Donna Way. Unlocked vehicles were targeted, but the suspects broke out some vehicle windows in the Rock Way area as well.

Some of the reported missing items include a handgun, a purse, chainsaws, and other equipment.

This follows a string of 48 vehicle break-ins in Medford that occurred between Friday and Monday, and reports of 6 thefts from vehicles in Ashland since Saturday.

Police are encouraging the public to lock their car doors, and make sure not to leave any valuables in the car. They say if the thief doesn’t see anything they want and the door is locked, it’s likely they will walk on by.
