The company is contracted to work with NASA in support of their initial phases of a 3rd generation mid-air retrieval project. The project, as the name suggests, is focused on retrieving NASA vessels after re-entry into the atmosphere.
Erickson Inc. will be studying the concept for proposed NASA missions that use mid-air retrieval with a helicopter.
The work will be at the facility in Southern Oregon and will take about 3 months.
