WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – Money diverted from the Department of Defense cannot be used to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall. That’s the ruling from a federal judge who blocked the spending measure.
More than $3.5 million of military money had been earmarked by the Trump administration to be used for a border wall.
The D.O.D. money was originally for more than 100 military construction projects.
The Justice Department says it plans to appeal the judge’s ruling.
