Kids being paired with Canine Angels

Medford, Ore. — A group of Rogue Valley children with disabilities tested out man’s best friend on Friday.

Six children with disabilities are being paired with their new dog by the Canine Angels Service Team.

The organization brought the kids to the Rogue Valley Mall to test the dogs after beginning training two weeks ago.

All of the kids were ecstatic with their new pups. “I’m really happy we got it through,” said Canine Angel recipient Peter Yanovitch. “I didn’t even know a dog could do this.”

The mall was chosen as Friday’s testing site because of the large amount of distractions available to the dogs.
