Ebola – “We Will Stop It Here”

Dallas, Texas — (NBC News) The Centers for Disease Control has confirmed the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the United States.

The patient began showing symptoms after arriving from Liberia on September 20th and is currently being treated in an isolation ward in Dallas, Texas.

Individuals that came into contact with the patient when he was infectious are currently being identified and will be tested for the virus and monitored for 21 days.

“There is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here,” CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden said when discussing the case Tuesday evening.
