The gardenburger was born in in the early 80’s at Paul Wenner’s restaurant in Gresham Oregon. Paul was forced to close down his restaurant but that didn’t mean the end of the garden burger.

” I started to make them in a friends kitchen and in a year a 100 restaurants in Portland sold them now 50 thousand restaurants sell them. Though Wenner made the original, other larger companies eventually forced him out of the business… fast forward another recession and now yet another new food invention from Wenner.

“The gardenbar is a savory bar, I wondered why they never made a bar that was savory and not sweet.”

The garden bar comes in 5 different flavors… will see if this bar is a big hit and Paul is once again at the center of a new health food.
