Part of the Japanese dock that washed ashore an Oregon beach last summer will soon reach it’s final resting place.
A105-thousand pound piece of the concrete dock will be placed at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport.
The display will highlight tsunami dangers, and honors those who died in the March 2011 Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami.
No word just yet on when the display will open.
