Two Earthquakes Hit Japan Early Wednesday

An earthquake hit Tokyo Wednesday morning– hours after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of northern Japan earlier this morning.

A small tsunami warning was issued for japan– but has since been lifted.

The epicenter was about 146 miles south of Kushiro, Japan, on Hokkaido Island.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said there was no threat of a Pacific-wide wave.
