Malheur Wildife Refuge occupier sentenced in separate case

medenbachEugene, Ore. — One of the occupiers of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge earlier this year is sentenced in another case in Josephine County.

The Register-Guard reports Kenneth Medenbach was convicted of illegally camping and occupying federal land near Galice last year.

The Crescent, Oregon man will serve five years of probation. He was also sentenced to six months in prison, but had already served that time because of his arrest after the refuge occupation.
