Massachusetts soldier surprises son at school

0913-massachusetts-soldierNorth Andover, Mass. (WCVB) — Week number two at school at the Thomson Elementary School in North Andover, and the lesson today was patriotism. And what better way to begin then with the pledge of allegiance.

In his best USA shirt, Caden proudly comes up and has no idea what’s about the happen next. You can start to feel that this a little more than spirt day at the school something special is around the corner.

Sgt. Jason Chin, US Army, has been in Kuwait for 10 months. He hasn’t seen his son since the first grade what a way to start the second grade for little Caden, who proudly recited the pledge with her hero by his side.

Sgt. Chin said, “Seeing him smile after s – the sacrifices military families make, it’s all worth it.”

And his wife Laura got her own surprise at work. She said, “I was surprised. Huge surprise, no idea.”

And in a word, Caden makes it clear how he felt about this surprise, “Happy.”
