Medford, Ore. — Medford is joining the growing list of Southern Oregon communities considering restrictions on marijuana following the 2014 legalization of the drug.
On Thursday, the Medford City Council voted 6 to 1 in favor of putting a measure on the November ballot to ban outdoor marijuana grows in residential areas.
Councilor Kevin Stine was the lone vote against the resolution, while Councilor Clay Bearnson, who co-owns a medical marijuana dispensary, abstained.
