Fire hits Klamath Falls warehouse

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Investigators are working to find out what sparked a fire in the commercial district of Klamath Falls Monday afternoon.

The fire broke out at a warehouse in the 300 block of Market Street at about 2:30.

Neighbor Ron Dalpina said, “I was down there in my house, and I saw the smoke, and I just called it in.”

Tom Morehouse of Klamath County Fire District 1 adds that there were several reports called in, “Our first arriving engine showed a lot of smoke and flame. They were able to knock it down pretty quickly.”

The building was being used for storage. Fire crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to a neighboring warehouse only a few feet away.

No one was hurt in the fire, no dollar estimate of damage has been made.
