Tualatin couple harassed for 'Trump' license plates

Tualatin, Ore. — A Tualatin couple said they’re being harassed for an unusual reason—their last name is ‘Trump’, and it’s printed on both of their license plates.

“It just happens to be my last name,” said Brian Trump. His wife Kristen has ‘KTRUMP’ on her license plate.

Trump told Portland NBC affiliate KGW that most people will look at the license plates and assume the person who owns it is making a political statement. He says that’s not the case. Brian has owned the plates for almost ten years and has never had issues until recently.

Trump told KGW he and his wife have been sneered at, and people have made vulgar comments. “The worst that someone’s done was the most recent when they started screaming obscenities at me and swerving their vehicle into my lane trying to run me off the road,” Trump recalled.

The heated reactions have Trump worried, especially about his wife.
