Update (07/05 12:23 p.m.) — A man from Mexico is fighting for his life tonight after crashing into the back of a semi-truck. It happened just past exit 11 on I-5 southbound.
According to Oregon State Police, a motorcyclist going 60 to 70 miles an hour rear-ended a semi-truck going about half that speed. Police say the male was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Traffic was down to one lane as crews cleaned up. But re-opened around 12:20 p.m.
