Umpqua Bank in Ashland robbed (PHOTOS)

Ashland, Ore. — Ashland Police are investigating a bank robbery, now we’re getting a look at the suspect.

The Umpqua Bank on Walker Avenue was robbed at noon Thursday. Ashland Police have released freeze-frames of the surveillance video.

The suspect is seen wearing a cowboy hat, blue flannel shirt, black jacket, and has a thick beard.

Information is very limited at this point, but APD did say the suspect made off with cash. The exact amount isn’t known.

Though the entrances to the bank were closed off, customers were still able to use the ATM.

Police say the community is safe. One APD officers said, “No danger to the community at this time. No one was hurt. Of course, it was very frightening to the employees at the bank.”

We also spoke with neighboring businesses of Umpqua Bank. They said it was business as usual.
