Woman accused of using stolen IDs to finance vehicles headed to prison

0512 VerdugoMedford, Ore. — An Eagle Point mother, accused of using her children’s Social Security numbers to finance several cars, is headed to prison.

Medford Police said when officers went to arrest 35-year-old Raquel Verdugo for stealing 2 cars last summer, they found she had already stolen another.

Verdugo is accused of using her children’s Social Security numbers to qualify for at least three vehicles, at multiple car lots in Medford.

Officers say they believe she is a career criminal with a lengthy criminal background, predominantly out of California.

She’ll serve three years in jail and have 2-years of post-prison supervision.
