Eagle Point will soon be offering another place for families to spend an afternoon.
Lucas park, named after the family who donated the initial 9 acre lot, is a pending park plan for the city. It is situated in the Glenwood neighborhood and residents were concerned that the limited access and parking would congest their street.
To solve that problem, Eagle Point purchased an adjacentlot that had recently become available. At just over an acre, the new lot will allow for the park’s entrance to be off Shasta street, bringing releif to neighbors and more visibility to the park.
